AIMS
Founded in 1981, to provide the opportunity for delegates of the member organisations
to meet regularly
to exchange information,
discuss matters of protocol and professional standards
and to create goodwill and understanding
between all Toastmasters.

The Council arranges Public Liability Insurance of £2,000,000 for Toastmasters of its member organisations

BENEFITS
A facility for open discussion and exchange of views and information between delegates which is taken back to organisations for discussion and action, when applicable.

With more than 200 Toastmasters in the member organisations, the Toastmasters' General Council has a powerfully persuasive influence for good professional standards of many Toastmasters.

CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
Organisations must have been established
for at least 5 years, with a minimum of 10 members.

The General Council holds a full list
of its affiliated Toastmasters.

Organisations must satisfy the General Council that
their members are controlled by Rules and Conditions
that ensure an acceptable high standard
of conduct, work and dress.
